3. Data management

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, TEKMAN EDUCATION S.L. informs that the information collected on its websites will be incorporated into processing systems in order to manage and maintain the relationship with the user, as well as for information, statistical, and marketing purposes.

The legal basis underlying these processing activities is the existence of a legitimate interest, and, with regard to cookies, the consent given by data subjects or their legal representatives.

Data will be kept for as long as consent is maintained, except where there is a legal obligation to retain it.

Users may contact the competent supervisory authority to file complaints, and may exercise their rights of access, rectification, restriction of processing, erasure, portability, and objection to the processing of personal data, as well as withdraw any consent given.

TEKMAN EDUCATION S.L. undertakes to adopt the technical and organisational measures necessary, in line with the level of risk, to guarantee the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the data.

4. Rights of data subjects

TEKMAN EDUCATION S.L. informs users that they may exercise the following rights:

  • Right of access. To obtain information about specific personal data and the processing carried out or planned, including the origin of the data and any communications made or planned.
  • Right of rectification. To have inaccurate or incomplete data under the application's control corrected, such as removing comments, images, or content containing personal data.
  • Right to restriction of processing. To restrict the purposes of processing originally intended by the controller.
  • Right of erasure. To have personal data erased, except as provided for under the GDPR or other regulations requiring its retention.
  • Right to portability. To receive the personal data provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transmit it to another controller.
  • Right to object. To have the processing of personal data not carried out, or discontinued.

How to exercise these rights: by sending a written request to the postal address given above or to privacidad@tekmaneducation.com, including the specific request being made, an address for notifications, the date and signature of the requester, supporting documents for the request, and a means of proving that it was sent and received. If there are reasonable doubts about the requester's identity, additional identification (such as a national ID document) may be requested.

Users have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) in the event of non-compliance with applicable data protection regulations.

5. Use of Google user data

When a teacher signs in with Google or imports classes from Google Classroom, myroom accesses the following Google user data through Google's OAuth API scopes:

  • Basic profile information. Name, email address, and profile picture, used to identify the user and create or access their myroom account (Sign in with Google).
  • Google Classroom courses and roster (read-only). Course names and the list of teachers and students enrolled in those courses, used solely to let a teacher import an existing Google Classroom class into myroom as a group, together with its student roster.

How this data is used. Google user data is used exclusively to authenticate the user and to create the corresponding class group and student roster inside myroom, at the teacher's request. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to this import feature.

Sharing, transfer, and disclosure. Google user data obtained through these scopes is not shared, sold, transferred, or disclosed to any third party. It is processed only by TEKMAN EDUCATION S.L. and stored with the infrastructure providers described in this Policy that host the myroom platform, acting strictly as data processors under our instructions.

Data protection measures. Google user data is transmitted using TLS encryption, stored encrypted at rest, and access is restricted to authorized personnel and systems that need it to operate the platform, in line with the security measures described in this Policy.

Retention and deletion. Google user data (profile information and imported Classroom roster) is retained for as long as the corresponding user account or class group remains active in myroom. It is deleted when the account or group is deleted, or earlier upon request to privacidad@tekmaneducation.com.

myroom's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
